Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your email address when you create an account. We also collect the URLs of websites you add for monitoring, and technical data about those sites (uptime, response time, SSL status, etc.).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the Service — monitoring your sites, sending alerts, and generating reports. We use your email to send monitoring alerts, account notifications, and (with your consent) product updates. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted in the US East (North Virginia) region. Monitoring check history is retained for 30 days on Starter plans and 90 days on Agency plans. Free tier checks are not stored historically.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate SiteTrace: Supabase (database and authentication), Render (hosting), and Resend (transactional email). Each has its own privacy policy governing how they process data on our behalf.

5. Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary for authentication session management. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@sitetrace.it.com. You can also delete your account directly from your dashboard settings, which removes all associated data.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords via Supabase Auth, and access-controlled database policies. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Children's Privacy

SiteTrace is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
